Meet DJI’s lightest-ever full-frame three-axis gimbal camera: the X9-8K. Custom-built for the Inspire 3, this imaging system takes drone cinematography to its height.
Tailormade 8K Sensor
Take cinematography to the next level. The Inspire 3 features DJI’s latest image processing system, CineCore 3.0, supporting internal recording of up to 8K/25 fps CinemaDNG video, as well as 8K/75 fps Apple ProRes RAW video.
While in S&Q mode, the Inspire 3’s X9-8K Air supports internal recording up to full-frame 4K/120fps ProRes RAW video without cropping, providing more creative editing options.
Dual Native ISO
X9-8K Air supports dual native ISO. At full-frame 30fps and below, the Inspire 3 offers EI 800/4000, supporting the 24fps commonly seen in film productions and the 25fps used in commercial and television shows. At above 30fps, EI 320/1600 is available.
The features of the Inspire 3 allow the recording of images with exquisite details and minimal noise. Even in low-light settings, the camera remains on equal ground with any professional cinema camera.
14+ Stops of Dynamic Range

DL Mount Lenses
Always compatible with the perfect shot. The Inspire 3 inherits DJI’s proprietary DL mount, making the X9-8K compatible with an additional 18 mm F2.8 full-frame ultra-wide lens and a new telephoto lens, plus the previous full-frame lens selections of DL 24/35/50 mm F2.8.
Custom-designed for aerial cinematography, these five lenses feature lightweight monocoque carbon fibre housing. With the lightest lens weighing just 178 g, the Inspire 3 remains highly maneuverable.
DJI Cinema Color System (DCCS)
Retain authentic colours from your aerial cinematography. The DJI Cinema Color System captures colour with ease, redefining how natural settings, urban landscapes, skin tones, and lighting conditions look on film.
Simplify your post-editing workflow. Inspire 3’s DCCS allows easy colour matching between X9-8K Air and ground-based cinema cameras like DJI Ronin 4D.
Multi-Camera Timecode Sync
Ensure your air and ground equipment are always in sync. Using the 3.5mm port on the aircraft, you can sync timecode, making sure your cameras are working together during the shooting process.
For the editing process, timecode sync is vital, allowing you to remain as efficient as possible every time you edit.
Ultra-Wide Night-Vision FPV Camera
Keep an eye on your surroundings, even in the lowest light. Equipped with a new 1/1.8-inch-sensor FPV camera, an ultra-wide DFOV of 161°, and transmission of live feeds at up to 1080p/60fps, the Inspire 3 delivers impressive light-sensing capabilities to keep your surrounding vivid and clear.

Interconnected Features of the Inspire 3
DJI RC Plus
The DJI RC Plus is a professional-level remote controller that comes with the Inspire 3. Featuring a built-in 7-inch 1,200-nit high-bright screen, the DJI RC Plus maintains an extraordinary outdoor monitoring experience.
Button functions on the DJI RC Plus can be customized to fit your specific habits. The controller also features an operating time of approximately 3.3 hours, with the ability to extend to 6 hours with an external WB37 battery.
Cinema-Grade O3 Pro Video Transmission
Equipped with the latest cinema-grade vide3o transmission system, the O3 Pro, the Inspire 3 boasts a maximum transmission distance of 15 km in single-control mode and 12 km in dual-control mode. The gimbal and FPV cameras also support 1080p/60fps live feeds with ultra-low latency of 90 ms.
New to the Inspire 3, you also receive a maximum transmission distance of 5 km while using the 4K/30fps to meet the needs of UHD monitoring and live streaming on set.

Independent Links for Dual Control
For greater freedom on-set, utilize the Inspire 3’s dual-control experience. Use two remote controls to independently control both the drone and gimbal while receiving simultaneous live feeds, no matter where you are on set.
As a safety feature, if the pilot loses the aircraft signal, full control is shifted to the gimbal operator. This allows the operator to return the aircraft safely to home or to land the drone as needed.
